Default define moving foe

one of the warrior's skill said that if i strike a moving foe then it will do xx damage, what's a definition of a moving foe? like when they run to u? what about when they attacking you like melee or range, they stand still but still moving to kill u, would that still consider moving foe? thanks

Just a person that is moving, in most cases, running away.

I think it could be defined as "purposefully" moving. That is, for example, if a foe targets you and "moves" toward you to get into range, that's not moving in the sense the spell description means. Think of it as being like when you use W, A, S, or D to actually move.

Maybe when the monsters chase your Monks round and round, Benny Hill style?

moving is.... moving. they can be moving away, moving closer, moving side to side. as long as the target is moving when you hit them with the attack, the condition will be met.

however, do note that if the target is trying to melee you, you'll almost never meet the condition. this is because if they are coming to attack you, they'll be standing still when both of you come within melee range of each other. the only exception is when your target is using quarterstepping, in which case they are attacking and moving at the same time.

Wow, someone went digging. That's three years old - it takes a professional thread necro to do that.

And yes, "moving" means walking or running. I'm not sure if it counts when the enemy is moving towards you to attack, but it definitely counts when they're trying to run away.

The only reason I'm not sending this thread back to 2005 is because you're wrong. Anytime you are changing your location you are moving.

Lol! That's pretty funny - I never look at the thread dates before posting.

I still think you're wrong - I don't think movement as a result of an "attack" counts as "moving" - but, really, in the long run, it doesn't matter to me.

I agree with quaker, since my use of bull's strike goes with his statement.

So you don't think Bull's Strike will knock you down while moving into melee range after pressing space?

Honestly...

I went and scrimmaged myself, and Bull's Strike triggered when the opponent was moving to cast a spell or attack.

I'm with Savio on this one. Moving yourself into a position automatically by attacking does count as moving.

Savio's original response is correct. Anytime you change location you are moving. Doesn't matter whether it's a half-step or charging across the map.

If your feet are moving, you are moving.

Honestly, I already said it doesn't matter to me. I don't care. I'm not going to spend any time investigating it. I'm only answering this because I'm sitting on the deck on a warm sunny day, surfing with my laptop.
I'm basically burned out on GW.

(But I will say that it "seemed" to me, in the past, that skills I used which targeted a moving foe didn't seem to work if they were simply attacking. Could be just a timing thing - don't know, still don't care.

P.s - I wouldn't waste forum space with these meaningless replies either, except it's such an old thread and will probably be closed soon.

moving is moving, whether to kite, get in range or just moving while attacking.

You people are terrible, aside from Savio.

If they are moving from point a. to point b., they are moving. bstrike it and move on.
